We have 5 staterooms in a row on the Disney Fantasy. Upon further research, we found out we will be right above the Walt Disney theater and balcony. Should we look into separating our rooms and going higher? We are concerned with seasickness and noise.

Hello Joe!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so glad you sailed by today.  How exciting to be traveling with a large group to experience the magic of cruising with Captain Mickey together!  My family and I have sailed with our extended family and it was one of the most enjoyable vacations we can remember.  There is so much to do onboard with activities and fun tailored to every guest from those who are looking for the excitement of riding the AquaDuck, to the relaxed vacationer looking to spend some time in Senses Spa and Salon, all the way to the kids crowding the magic play floor in the Oceaneer Lab.  Disney Cruise Line truly offers something for everyone.

It is great that you were able to book five rooms together so everyone can enjoy sailing side by side!  I understand your concerns and can provide you a little information to help you make the best decision for you and your pirate crew.  Disney Cruise Line ships are equipped with stabilizers that help minimize the rocking or sway of the ship.  Depending on the weather and the location of your stateroom, you may feel the ship move more or less.  In my experiences when we have booked mid-ship staterooms we have felt less of the motion, but have not experienced any seasickness staying forward or aft either.

On our sailings, I have not been able to hear noise from other staterooms or surrounding spaces.  That being said, the shows in the Walt Disney Theatre can be loud.  Typically most of the activity in this space is during the dinner seating when the main shows are on stage.  If you are attending the shows each evening and dinner in the main dining room, you should avoid most of the noise from this venue.

Enjoy making memories on the Disney Fantasy!  Bon voyage!  Angie
