Starting to plan our next trip (winter 2012/13) & need help picking a hotel. For our first family trip in May we stayed at Pop. It was nice but w/2 little ones it made for a long bus ride from MK. Is WL/CR worth the $, or is there a central hotel you l

    Hi Ryan!

If you would like to stay close to the Magic Kingdom then I would definitely go with the Wilderness Lodge.  It's my absolute favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotel.  I love the theming and I love the boat ride between the lodge and the Magic Kingdom.  It's usually a little bit less each night than other Disney Deluxe Resorts, especially the resorts on the Magic Kingdom monorail line.  It's also a great resort if you want to dine one evening at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review, as there is a boat that runs between the Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, and the Contemporary Resort.

If you want even more convenience, then consider staying in a monorail resort.  My favorite resort on the monorail line is the Polynesian.  From there you actually have direct access to the Magic Kingdom monorail and, by walking to the Transportation and Ticket Center, direct access to Epcot.  It's also a great resort with a fabulous theme!

    Good luck with your decision!
