Walt Disney World Halloween

Starting to plan our Halloween DW trip.. I see that tickets for the Not So Scary Party are available on 8/25. Can you tell us the first date that the World will be decorated for Halloween this year? Thank you.

Hey, Kimberly! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We’re so glad you brought us your question!

There’s nothing quite like the holiday decorations at the Walt Disney World Resort. And for this autumn loving mama, visiting Disney during the fall months is a magical treat! With lush fall foliage draped all over the theme parks and resorts, adorable Mickey pumpkins throughout Magic Kingdom- perfect for some magical photo-ops, seasonal treats like all things pumpkin spice and candy corn, and not to mention the Spooktacular Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party… aaahhh… makes me want to fast forward to fall and be there now!

Kimberly, there’s no official date posted for when the decorations will be complete. But I would make that first party date your official marker of the arrival of fall. The theme parks and resorts will begin getting dolled up in phases prior to the party date so if you are there earlier, you might start seeing special decorations magically pop-up. But without a doubt, it will be 100 percent complete for the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on August 25th.

Don’t forget the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival is also taking place during the fall months. This year, this fun and tasty festival will begin August 31st and run through November 13, 2017. Where else are you able to taste your way around the world in one night? Yum!

I hope this helped answer your question. Be sure to come back and visit us again soon. Have a magical day!
