I started making dining reservations as they were available. However, I was only able to get Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time (HS) on separate days. With 6 and 11 year old boys, am I better to keep them and do 2 days at HS or drop 1 of them and do 2 days at MK?

Hello, Josh! You're in quite the quandary. Both restaurants are amazing, but if it were me, I would do two days at Magic Kingdom and one day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Magic Kingdom has a lot more to do and see so I spend more time in this park than any of the others. My 5-year-old isn't into the thrill rides just yet, so we usually don't spend any longer than half a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The two restaurants offer different experiences so whichever you think your party would enjoy more is the one you should choose. I love the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. You get to enjoy a delicious meal in a retro vehicle under the stars while vintage Sci-Fi clips are projected on a big screen. At 50's Prime Time Cafe you will feel like you have entered a time warp to the family dining room in the 50's. If you choose this restaurant be sure to ask for a TV table so that you can watch old clips from the 1950's while you eat. Your kids will surely have fun with all of the crazy antics of the servers who will chastise you if you do not follow proper dining etiquette.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, you know where to find us. Happy planning, and have a magical vacation!
