How do I start planning my days at the parks

Hello Sarah and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I think that you are brilliant to know that you would benefit from having a plan for your days when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many options and things to do that I find a plan essential to ensure that I hit our "must do" items.  Some of your planning will depend on how many days you will be staying and your style of travel. Does your family like to get up bright and early or do they prefer to sleep in while on vacation?  Do you enjoy leisurely dining experiences, or do you prefer to eat quickly and move on? Would you like to fill every day full of adventure, or would you like some downtime to hang out at the pool?  These are just a few starter questions for you.

I do recommend that you plan plenty of time to visit each of the four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Depending on the age of your traveling party, you may want two days at some of the parks. By the time you travel, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be open and could require that you add extra time for Disney's Hollywood Studios touring.

One tool I would like to recommend is touringplans.com.   The writers of the fabulous book "The Unauthorized Guide to Walt Disney World" run that site. For a small fee, you can create personalized touring plans based on your family's preferences and traveling particulars. I use them for every trip.

Of course, I would also recommend coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask more questions. We love to help!

    See ya real soon,
