Where to start to plan for my Disneyworld trip? I need to book hotel, airfair, and transportation, I'm new with planning for travel arrangements - help? Any advice when to begin to look for great deals?

    Hi Ally,

You have come to the right place! All of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel love helping others get the most out of their magical Walt Disney World vacations. Planning a first visit can be a bit daunting, but I have some great resources to get you started.

Visit the Walt Disney World Vacation Ideas and Planning page as a starting point. This will take in to account your budget, the time of year you wish to travel, and party size to determine a vacation recommendation.

Throughout the year, special offers and deals are offered. These can vary from year to year and season to season, so keep an eye out for those that available for your travel time frame. AAA occasionally offers vacation deals, so if you are a member, you can check their website for current discounts.

My favorite travel guide is Birnbaum Guide: Walt Disney World. This official guidebook offers color photos, detailed descriptions of attractions and shows, sample budgets/itineraries, and other very helpful advice. You can purchase the latest issue at most bookstores.

Create a My Disney Experience account. This is very helpful throughout the process for making dining reservations, FastPass+ selections, and customizing your MagicBands prior to your trip. You can also download the free My Disney Experience mobile app. This comes in handy during your trip with interactive maps, dining menus, character locations, up to the minute wait times for attractions, and even finding the closest restroom. I love having all this information at my fingertips.

    Happy Planning!
