Hi, For the star wars weekend, can my DH get in line early(e.g 7am) at DHS for FP autographs and then can we join him in the line a little later before the park actually opens, or will they not let us move up to join him? Thanks for all the great advice!

    Hi Rebecca,

When we've gone to Star Wars Weekend (all 5 of us are total fans of all things Lucas!  I have made soooo many Star Wars Halloween costumes it is just plain silly!!), I went right to the area (the fast pass machines are by Indiana Jones with the line extending all the way to the restaurant Hollywood and Vine) to get our spot in line when the park opened.  My husband and sons, meanwhile, rode Star Tours and gathered fast passes for another ride.  They then joined me in line since each fast pass is distributed by the person rather than by the park admission ticket. I will admit that we've probably had a few frowns from the people behind us to have 4 more people join the line, but many people were doing that as well.

I should point out that our first time doing this was on an extra magic hour morning, but they don't distribute the fast passes for meeting the Star Wars celebrities until the park opens to all guests.  What that meant is that I stood in line for an entire hour before the line even began to move.  Since then, we have started avoiding the extra magic hour mornings on Star Wars Weekends.

May the force be with you to meet some great characters this summer!  Kara
