Will stand on buggy boards (that attach to strollers, and clip up when not in use) be allowed with the new stroller regulations? Will the buggy board be considered part of the stroller when measuring dimensions?

Hi there, Rebekah, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your upcoming getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth will be here before you know it!

I’m so glad you stopped by for clarification regarding the use of a buggy board, or glider board, before your visit to the Disneyland Resort. I checked with a Cast Member on this, and, unfortunately, was told that buggy boards and/or glider boards are not allowed per Disneyland Resort Rules. According to the Rules, “Any trailer-like object that is pushed, pulled or towed by an Electronic Conveyance Vehicle, wheelchair, stroller or person” is considered a Prohibited Item.

Also, the maximum stroller size changed to 31” wide by 52” long, effective May 1, 2019. When measuring your stroller, you’ll want to measure from the widest and longest parts of your stroller to ensure it fits. At security checkpoints, you may be asked to push your stroller into a large rectangular box painted on the ground, measured at 31” by 52”, to ensure it fits. The good news is that most single and double strollers will still fit within these parameters. I was relieved to find out my double-wide stroller fits just fine.

If you find yourself needing to rent a stroller during your upcoming visit, I have some good news – the Disneyland Resort is now offering both a single and double stroller for rent! You can find Stroller Rentals available just outside the Main Entrance to Disneyland Park, adjacent to the Kennel. The single stroller is a jogging-style stroller, while the double stroller currently available is tandem, with a reclining front seat and a storage basket underneath. Keep in mind that stroller rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis daily.

You’re visiting the parks at a great time… in fact, you’ll still get to enjoy Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration! Be sure to check out the nighttime extravaganza, Mickey’s Mix Magic with Fireworks, which ends its daily run on June 6, 2019. Also, here’s the Entertainment Schedule for your arrival date. You won’t want to miss my family’s favorite parade, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade!

    See ya’ real soon!
