We sre taking our first family trip to Disney World soon. My fayher is going with us and plans on utilizing the military discount ticket program since he is retired military. When i book out hotel will I be able to add dining even without buying tickets?

    Hi Renee!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you're planning your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Be sure to pick up special 'First Visit' celebration buttons from your Disney Resort Hotel's front desk. Wear these little beauties proudly as they'll inform the whole 'World (well, the whole Walt Disney World) that you're new to the Kingdom.

Mine is a Military family too, and I actually pieced together a Disney visit this way a few months ago. Yes, when booking a special Military room rate at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can absolutely add a Disney Dining Plan to your reservation before you've linked, or even yet purchased, your Disney Theme Park tickets. The only stipulation with reserving a Military room rate is that you must call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation phone line to make the booking and add the dining plan, as these cannot be done online. Their phone number is (407) 939-1936.

Once officially booked, you'll see your vacation information in your 'My Disney Experience' profile. You'll even be able to personalize everyone's MagicBand as soon as you receive your confirmation email! Pro Tip: Try to purchase the theme park tickets at least three months before your vacation because they sometimes have to be shipped to your home or base/post. You'll want your tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account at least 61 days before your first Disney Day as you'll be able to make your FastPass+ Reservations once your check-in day is 60 days away.

Please let us know if we can assist you further as you plan to meet Mickey and his pals, and We'll See You Real Soon, Renee!
