This Spring, we are going to Disney World with my side of the family. My new husband has never been, and is a little intimidated by my fanatical family. Do you have any ideas that could help make is special or him?

    Hi Carrie!

We could be best friends because I was in your shoes 7 years ago. Despite having visited so many times since, and seeing how much our son loves my happy place now, I still have to get creative to convince someone to tag along. Luckily Walt Disney World Resort truly has something for everyone, and I love that this one place can mean so much to such a wide net of interests.

I try to sneakily plan some Disney time around my husbands passions; he loves traveling, geography and baseball, so I always make sure to snag a FastPass+ for Peter Pans Flight (I'll never forget his face the first time we flew over London), we really take our time when strolling Epcot's World Showcase, and we always stop for a snack at Casey's Corner.

What were your husbands favorite Disney movies when he was growing up? If you can't find those characters on a meet & greet or dining schedule, you should check out the various Resort Hotels for their scenery. You'll find three-story tall statues dedicated to The Mighty Ducks at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, or can stand right under Simba as he majestically presides over Pride Rock at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, plus many more.

If he likes sports check the event schedule at ESPN's Wide World of Sports to see if there is a game or event he could spectate for a few hours. Is he a car or boat guy? Definitely book a tour in an Amphicar at Disney Springs. And there are so many more amazing ideas in Disney's Enchanting Extras collection: behind the scenes steam train tours, getting up close to the animals of Disney's Animal Kingdom, golf (both regular and miniature), food adventures and more.

You'll think of the perfect Disney introduction. And don't forget that you can never go wrong with a classic pair of monogrammed Ears.
