Going for Spring Break 2017, husband and I will get 9 day-PH, son will join us after his choir trip and will only need 4 day-PH. How does that work with FP+ if he's not there until 1/2way thru the trip? Thanks!!

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kris!

What an exciting opportunity for your son: singing in the most magical place on Earth!

I travel to Walt Disney World with 350+ high school seniors each spring, so I understand the type of package your son will be on with his choir trip. He'll get a youth ticket which gives him entrance into the parks, and it is that ticket number which enables guests to arrange FastPass+ plans. For our school trip, we ask our travel agent to send our Walt Disney World park tickets to us at school. We then make photocopies of the back of each ticket, labeling a corresponding student name with each, and distribute the photocopy to each student. Then, we show students how to create their My Disney Experience accounts, enabling them to make their own FP+ plans. (We keep the actual ticket and distribute once we get to WDW, ensuring that everyone has a ticket upon arrival.)

If you can link your 9 day Park Hopper as well as your son's 4 day Park Hopper AND the youth ticket he'll get from his choir trip in My Disney Experience, you'll be able to arrange your FastPass+ plans for everyone during your entire stay.

If you are unable to get the # of your son's youth ticket from his choir trip, you can still organize his FP+ plans once your window opens on your own stay. Make your FP+ plans at 30 days prior to arrival or 60 days prior to check-in, if you are staying in a WDW hotel. Make your plans for you and your husband for the first few days; when you plan FP+ for the date of your son's arrival, MDE will know that he has 4 days' worth of unused tickets, so you can make plans for all 3 of you at that time. Easy peasy!

Send more questions as you plan your trip, Kris; we love to help!
