We are spending our first day at Magic Kingdom 5/21/18 (and are starting the day eating at Chef Mickey's at 7:45am. Where and when would you suggest we have our first Fast Pass? There are 5 of us- 10 yr, 8 yr, almost 4yr. Thanks!

    Hi Kristen,

It sure sounds like you have a magical day planned! You're going to LOVE breakfast at Chef Mickey's. With delicious food and the opportunity to meet Mickey and his pals, you've chosen a fantastic and fun way to start your day! Plus, when you're done, you're just a short walk or easy Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park!

To maximize our time in the parks, my family prefers to schedule our first FastPass+ selection for mid to late morning. We have found that within the first hour or so of the park opening, we are able to experience several attractions with very little wait time. Your breakfast is pretty early at Chef Mickey's, so hopefully you'll still be able to take advantage of the lighter crowds before needing to schedule your first FastPass+ selection. We like to begin our day in Fantasyland, and one attraction there that I definitely recommend using the FastPass+ service for is Peter Pan's Flight. I'd also recommend Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as a great attraction to choose for one of your first three selections. Some other Magic Kingdom Park attractions we like to visit using FastPass+ are Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, and of course the iconic mountains: Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain. In order to maximize the FastPass+ service, be sure to choose your three selections ahead of time, and then once you've enjoyed those experiences, don't forget that you may use the My Disney Experience app or an in-park kiosk to make additional selections, one at a time until the park closes!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristen, and have a truly magical vacation!
