I will be spending 4 days at WDW in April. My husband and I along with my parents are bringing our son to celebrate his 2nd birthday. Any tips for travelling with a toddler? Recommendations on must see things or rides?

What better place than Walt Disney World to celebrate a second birthday?

Megan, with four adults to one toddler you are set. Pack your bag with child friendly snacks and juice boxes so you can whip out refreshments as needed and avoid having to find a snack cart. Arrive at the parks at opening when crowds are low and head back to your resort in the afternoon for nap time. A midday break makes the day much more enjoyable for all generations.

Obviously the classic Magic Kingdom is a must do with your little prince. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, "it's a small world", Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the character filled parades, and the kitschy Enchanted Tiki Room are all popular with toddlers.

Disney's Animal Kingdom where you can travel on Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition to see giraffes, zebras, and lions, dig up dino skeletons in the marvelous Boneyard, and watch Finding Nemo-the Musical is a fabulous park for toddlers.

If your child likes characters I highly recommend a meal at Chef Mickey's. Meeting Mickey while eating Mickey waffles was always a favorite activity of my children when they were toddlers. The fun, festive atmosphere makes this restaurant the perfect location for a birthday celebration.

Be sure to pick up a free happy birthday button for your child at any park's Guest Services. He will love all the birthday greetings this brings him. Please contact me if you have any additional questions. I have survived trips to WDW with all four of my children when they were toddlers and despite a few major meltdowns over ice cream these visits were so fun. Enjoy!
