We will be spending 1 day at the Magic Kingdom in 3 weeks. I have heard that Disney is testing a new fast-pass policy. The last time we were at MK was 6 years ago, what's changed and what should we know?

    Hi Sarah,

A lot has changed at the Walt Disney World Resorts in six years and some of the biggest changes are at the Magic Kingdom. Fantasyland has totally transformed and there are two Dumbo Flying Elephant rides.

One of the overall changes in experiences is the addition of My Disney Experience. This allows guests to customize their Walt Disney World Experience they way they want to so it is more magical. One component of this is the new Fast Pass+. Currently, guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resorts are allowed to choose three FastPass+ selections in one park per day. No longer will you need to go to Space Mountain or any of the other FastPass attractions to get a ticket. You simply pick an available time and you have it. You can do this 60 days prior to arrival.

For guests who are not staying on property, you will have the option of selecting your FastPass+ at kiosks throughout the park. I recommend you head to a kiosk first to grab your FastPass+ for the day. You might want to head to a kiosk not at the front gate but in another part of the park as it should make for a shorter line.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
