We're spending 1 day in Disney with our 5 and 7 year old girls at the end of the week. Not much time to plan. What are the *must-do" activities? They love the princesses, but also Star Wars, etc.. This is our first time there. Not lodging in park.

    Hi Wendy,

If you are headed to Walt Disney World Resort for one day, given the ages of your girls, I would definitely visit Magic Kingdom Park.  When you first arrive, head over to a FastPass+ kiosk in the Kodak Theatre and select your FastPass+ choices for the day.  FastPasses will allow you to arrive at the attraction you select at a specific time and experience the attraction without the wait.  I would recommend using the FastPasses on the attractions that your daughters absolutely must do.  If they love princesses, I would suggest using your selections on Enchanted Tales with Belle, Visiting a Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid.

There are so many fabulous attractions at Magic Kingdom Park it is difficult to predict what your girls would enjoy.  Take a few minutes with your girls and have a look at all the Magic Kingdom has to offer to make a better plan for your day.  My family and I typically begin at one side of the theme park and work our way around.  This way we are sure not to miss anything!

If your daughters have their hearts set on Star Wars, I would recommend purchasing the Park Hopper option and visit Disney's Hollywood Studios to experience Star Tours.  If they want even more of an experience, sign your girls up for Jedi Training Academy, but just a warning, you will need to be there as soon as the theme park opens, to sign them up!

I hope my suggestions give you a starting point Wendy.  If you have any other questions please let me know, I would be happy to help!
