Mom And Daughter Resort Room

We are spending my daughter's 10th birthday at Disney World. Could you tell me what benefits she will receive for spending her birthday at Disney World? Will she receive any preferential treatment in the ride lines?

While celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is a magic experience, I wouldn't count on cutting any lines. With so many birthdays happening at WDW every day, this just wouldn't be possible.

But you can help your daughter have a great day. The first thing you should do for her birthday is go to the Guest Relations office at any of the theme parks and ask for a free "Today is My Birthday" button. She can wear this all day and many cast members and guests will give her an extra smile or hello. I would also make it a point to tell as many Disney folks as possible about her birthday, specifically servers at table service restaurants and the front desk of your hotel. While this is not guaranteed, the birthday girl might receive a free cupcake with her meal or a small balloon bouquet in the room.

If you yourself would like to plan something special for her birthday, you could have a wonderful gift basket sent to the room with a stuffed animal of her favorite character or a CD of her favorite music. There are baskets available at many price points. All of this can be arranged by calling Walt Disney World Florist and Gift Basket at 407-872-3505.
