We will be spending Black Friday and the two days following in the parks next week. Youngest guest is 6 and oldest is 71. What kind of plan of attack would you plan?

Howdy, Pamela! Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is just a few days away, how exciting! I can’t wait for you and your family to experience all the magic and wonder of the Holidays.

When traveling with a multi-generational group, it’s best to layout a loose a plan but allow for some flexibility. I suggest starting your days as early as possible and taking advantage of any early admission options that you may have available to you. Plan to ride attractions in the morning that everyone in the group will enjoy. This might include classic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean and Mad Tea Party, or even thrill rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Radiator Springs Racers. Then keep your afternoons free to follow the cues of the others in your group. If they are ready for a bit of a break, take in a show like Frozen – Live at the Hyperion or Mickey and the Magical Map. If they are happy to keep forging ahead at full speed, then grab a FASTPASS for an attraction in the afternoon. If thrill rides appeal to everyone, then I recommend adding Disney MaxPass to your tickets because it will save you tons of time.

If you haven’t already, make one or two dining reservations. This is a very popular time to visit the parks, so having a few meals planned in advance can make for a more relaxing trip. The restaurants at the Disneyland Resort offer a variety of different types of cuisines to please the palates of both young and old. Even signature dining options offer kids menus with the typical fare like chicken nuggets or macaroni and cheese.

I hope this helps get you started. Have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
