I want to spend 2 days in Magic Kingdom one is thursday (also is MNSSHP) the other day we are trying to decide on is a Saturday or a Monday (which is also magic hour). We are not staying on property so is there a better day out of the two?

Hey there Allison, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Organizing your Disney days and trying to decide which Theme Park to visit on which day can be like putting together a big puzzle, and seeing how the pieces fit together. Let's see if we can help you solve this section of your puzzle.

I checked the posted hours for the dates you're considering, and I see that the Magic Kingdom Park will have morning Extra Magic Hours on that Monday. Since you're staying off-site and can't take advantage of the benefit of early Extra Magic Hours, I'd visit the Magic Kingdom on Saturday instead. While Saturdays can be busy due to an increase in local visitors (like me!), I think the ability to arrive at park opening and get some of your must-do attractions done early in the day is most important. If you try to visit on an Extra Magic Hours day, the park will have been open to Guests staying in a Resort hotel for an hour before you even pass through the touchpoints so it will be harder to hit some of those attractions early.

Riding some of your favorites right after park opening, combined with scheduling your FastPass+ selections later in the morning or early afternoon will really help you make the most of your time in the park.

I hope this helps you plan a practically perfect Walt Disney World vacation, Allison. And please come visit us again if you have any more questions.

    Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
