Do spectators have to have park tickets to view the finish line of the Princess Half Marathon in February 2015? Thanks!

Glad to have you back, Anne!

Spectators do not need a theme park ticket to view near the finish line of the Princess Half Marathon. The finish line area for this royal race actually ends outside of the Epcot® theme park in the Imagine section of the parking lot. In addition, Epcot® will not open to day guests until 9:00am - so no worries about trying to spectate from inside the park.

There is a section of fencing along the last tenth of a mile where spectators will be able to view runners as they head to the finish line, but it's not very close. My top suggestion, when wanting to view a runner at the finish line, is to consider purchasing a ChEAR Squad Package of at least a Gold or higher. Not only will this grant access to reserved grandstand seating right at the finish line, but also private restrooms and hot & cold beverages. It can be quite a long wait while spectating, and with 25,000 runners, this is a great way to help ensure you get to see your runner's shining moment.

For more information, select the highlighted link above, then select the Spectators Tab and then the ChEAR Squad Tab for packages and pricing.

I hope this information is helpful, Anne! As always, please reach out to me if I can be of further assistance!

    Have a great day,

    Faith
