What special things can they do for my daughter's birthday?

    Hi Bernadette,

How exciting to be celebrating your daughter's birthday at Walt Disney World! We once celebrated my daughter's birthday at Walt Disney World, and it was truly a magical experience. Let me offer you some suggestions for ways to make your daughter's day extra special.

Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your daughter. These are available for free at Guest Relations at the theme parks, as well as at many merchandise locations throughout the theme parks. You and the rest of your traveling party can pick up "I'm Celebrating" buttons to indicate that you have a celebration in your party. It is fun to hear cast members and other guests alike wishing your little one a happy day. Sometimes, you may find that a little extra pixie dust, such as a birthday cupcake, might come your daughter's way if she is wearing a birthday button. This is not guaranteed, so do not expect it, and it will be even more magical if it does occur. Also, be sure to indicate on any dining or resort reservation that you are celebrating a birthday. Again, you never know when extra surprises may occur!

You can also consider having a special gift made for your daughter by visiting Disney Floral and Gifts. They can make gifts appropriate for all ages, and have a variety of items including balloons, plush animals, flowers, and tasty snacks. Our daughter enjoyed that on her seventh birthday, we had a plush animal of Minnie Mouse holding balloons delivered to our villa in Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Once you peruse the Disney Floral and Gifts website, you can call them at (407) WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438) to work directly with a Magic Maker to design a gift for your daughter.

I would love to help you plan more Bernadette; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back with any further questions!
