Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathleen! Thanks for stopping by with the excellent question about special accommodations for Autistic children.
Walt Disney World Resort is a MAGICAL place for all Guests, including those with
Cognitive Disabilities. To ensure everyone in your family experiences an enjoyable, comfortable and inclusive visit, Disney provides the
Disability Access Service Card (DAS).
DAS are issued to Guests with a wide variety of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. If you are traveling with special needs children, I strongly recommend stopping by Guest Relations to secure DAS for your family.
For an in-depth explanation of DAS benefits, please read the
Disney Parks Disability Access Service Card Fact Sheet. Do keep in mind you may use DAS in conjunction with
FastPass+ and
Rider Switch too. Also, be sure to check the very useful guide of
Attraction Details for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities - Walt Disney World® Resort.
I hope you found this information useful, Kathleen. Please come back soon with more Disney vacation planning questions.
Wishing you a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
