    Sandie from AZ Asked

I have a special needs son and I was wondering which rides work with DAS?

    Hi there, Sandie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for visiting us with your question. I think you’ll be happy to hear that there are many services and strategies available at the Disneyland Resort to help Guests with disabilities. You’ll be able to maximize your family’s time in the theme parks and have a magical experience!

The Disability Access Service (DAS) system is designed to accommodate Guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue due to a disability (including autism and cognitive disabilities) by allowing them to receive a return time for all attractions based on the current wait time. As soon as the Guest and their group finish one attraction, they can receive a return time for another. If this sounds like something that could benefit your family, please visit City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to speak to a Cast Member about your specific needs. Please keep in mind that the DAS doesn’t generally provide return times or reserved viewing for shows.

Along with the DAS system, you are also welcome to use Disney FASTPASS to further maximize your time. To get a FASTPASS, visit the distribution area for attractions offering this service. Insert your valid admission ticket into the FASTPASS machine to obtain a return time. For attractions, the return time will be a one-hour window, but for shows, you will receive a return time for a specific performance. Not all attractions offer FASTPASS service, but a list of those that do is available online and in the park guide maps at the resort. I hope this information helps, Sandie. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
