Will there any special Hanukkah meals/parties/special activities going on at any of the Disney hotels/parks?

Shalom aleichem, Lisa and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The holidays are a special time of year at Walt Disney World Resort with fantastic foods, celebratory decorations, and a spirit that keeps the place "where dreams come true" exciting for everyone. We have enjoyed spending Hanukkah with Mickey and the gang.

Hanukkah (or Chanukah from December 22-30, 2019) has a wonderful presence all over Walt Disney World Resort including Disney Springs, Disney Resort hotels, and the theme parks. The decorations are a wonderful recognition of the Festival of Lights and Epcot provides the most entertainment. Unfortunately, there are no parties but there are some special experiences. At the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, Guests can enjoy the two best parts about Hanukkah: food and stories. Last year, between the Morocco and France Pavilions the stories and songs about Hanukkah from around the world were shared with Guests by the Hanukkah Storyteller while the Voices of Liberty at the American Adventure Pavilion include a medley of Jewish Chanukah classics. Of course, when celebrating any Jewish holiday you have to eat. Last year the L'Chaim Holiday Kitchen premiered offering Jewish favorites including Pastrami on Rye with House-made Pickles and Deli Mustard, Potato Knishes with Herb Sour Cream, Chicken and Matzo Ball Soup, and Black and White Cookies. Yum! To stay posted on the 2019 offerings follow the Disney Parks Blog. I am really hoping for kosher latkes and sufganiyot this year because Hanukkah is all about fried food. Right?

Disney Dad Tip: We have found some of the cutest Disney Hanukkah-inspired merchandise at Mouse Gear in Epcot and at World of Disney including dreidels, mugs, crayons, banners, goblets, plates, and pins.

Lisa, may the lights of chanukiah shine bright as you make many Magical Memories. Chanukah Sameach!
