It will soon be time to make our fast pass reservations for Disneyworld, with my grandkids 5, 3 and 2, is it worth while to use them for the parade and fireworks? How does it work as opposed using if for a ride? Thanks.

Hi Rebecca! It sounds like you are planning a great trip with your grandchildren to Walt Disney World. I also bring mine and it is truly one of the best experiences to see them growing up loving the mouse as much as I have through the years.

This is a very personal choice about choosing Fast Passes and often a very tough decision. I think you need to stop and think about what your grandchildren will enjoy most in the parks. I know you will be visiting the Magic Kingdom as that is the favorite spot to go no matter what age you are but especially young children. The Magic Kingdom offers the most options of any of the four parks making it even harder. If they love the parades then I suggest getting a Fast Pass for one of them, either the day or evening, but not the fireworks. You can see the Wishes show in many different locations throughout the park and you might be more comfortable finding a location where you can duck into a building if the sound becomes too loud for the youngest. If you are visiting a park more then once then just reserve a Fast Pass for one day for the parades and enjoy the other attractions for your other choices.

There will be an open reserved section for the guests who have used a Fast Pass for a parade so you will not need to plunk your things down on the curb an hour ahead of time. Cast members will direct you to this location.

So much to see, so much to do, and often so little time to do it all. But whatever you do choose it will be memorable for you and your grandchildren. Warning.....you will be voted an awesome grandma and they will be wanting to do it every year!
