how soon can you make dinning reservations in Disney if not staying at a disney resort

Greetings, Nancy! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

I am so glad you are asking about advanced dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort. I always make my dining reservations in advance because I know that I really enjoy sitting down for a tasty and relaxing meal after a long day at the parks. Plus, some of my favorite restaurants are quite popular so planning in advance is a must. Whether you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel or not, dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance online, by calling (714) 781-3463, or on the Disneyland app. If you would like to book a character meal or eat at a signature dining location like Carthay Circle Restaurant or Blue Bayou Restaurant, I suggest making reservations as soon as possible. For others, advanced planning isn’t as critical and you may even notice that some restaurants will have availability for same-day reservations.

You can also make reservations for Fantasmic! and World of Color Dining Packages up to 60 days in advance to ensure you have a delicious meal and a great spot for the shows. There is also a World of Color Dessert Party where you can indulge in sweet treats and libations while enjoying the show from a seat at a table. The dessert party does require advance payment so keep that in mind when planning your reservations.

I hope you have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth! Happy planning!
