How soon can we make dining reservation? I thought it was 180 days out, plus 10 if staying on property? For a total of 190 days out? We are arriving Dec. 18th. So shouldn't we already be able to make reservations? Any info appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi, Juanita!

I hope you are looking forward to spending part of the holiday season at Walt Disney World® Resort! It's definitely a magical time of year to be visiting!

You are correct, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World® resort hotel you are able to make Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance for 10 days out. The good news is, you haven't missed your window, the 180 day mark for an arrival date of December 18th, 2014 will open tomorrow, June 21st--so no worries, you'll be ready to go in the morning!

Here are some additional tips to make your booking process run smoothly.

    1. If you plan to book online, make sure you are properly signed in to the Walt Disney World® website--even if it appears you are already logged in, log in again. I learned this trick yesterday when my own 180 day window opened, but the website was not displaying my additional 10 days even though it appeared I was already logged in--I logged in again and my +10 magically appeared.

    2. Make sure your resort reservation is linked to your My Disney Experience Account. If your resort reservation is not listed on the website, it won't recognize you're within your window.

    3. Have your plans written down so if you encounter any problems you will be able to expedite your reservation requests by calling them in at 1(407) WDW-DINE.

I hope this information has been helpful, Juanita! Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have as you begin the process of booking your Advanced Dining Reservations. It's part of the fun!

    Happy 180 day mark!
