MY son's name and character are on my "Friends and family list" but I cannot get his icon added to MY list. Can you help?

    Hi Christine!

I recently had a similar issue with my son, but it was easily fixed.  First, make sure you're logged in to your My Disney Experience account on a computer and click on "My Family & Friends".  You should have a section at the top that says "We're Planning Together" that lists your immediate family members.  Mine has my husband and two children.  To be able to change or add a character icon to your son's account, it must say "Plans managed by me" next to his name.  If so, the next step is clicking on the "Update" button to the right.  This should expand his information including a circle where a character icon should be.  Click on "Change Character" to bring up the character list.  Once you've picked a character and saved it, you're good to go!  Now, when I did this for my son, it took a couple days for his character to show up when I was adding him to FastPass+ plans and dining reservations, so don't worry if his is blank right away.

If you are not the manager of your son's account, you will not be able to change his character as only the person who is the actual manager of his account can do it from their account.  If you need this changed or if you are the manager of the account and it does not give you the option to change his character, you'll need to call the My Disney Experience help desk at (407) 939-4357 and a Cast Member will be more than happy to help get this sorted out for you.

    Have a magical day!
