I want to make my son's first trip to Disney World spectacular! He will be 6 when go and it will be his big brother reward trip as my daughter was born prematurely and he got shuffled from family to friends during this time! Best place to stay? Must do?

    Hey Casey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Planning a trip to Walt Disney World is a great way to reward your son for his patience during that trying time.

Here are some suggestions for fun things to do with your son to celebrate his big brother status:
    • Stop by guest services and pick up a free "I'm Celebrating" button. You can have a cast member write on the button that he is celebrating being an awesome big brother. When others around the park see his button they will congratulate him on his important new role in the family.
    • Schedule a character meal with his favorite characters. There are character meals around the parks and resorts featuring everyone from Mickey and his pals to Winnie the Pooh and his Hundred Acre Wood friends to Lilo and Stitch.
    • Have a surprise gift waiting in your room upon arrival from Disney Floral & Gifts. They have some great in-room celebration packages.
    • Add a fireworks dessert party to your itinerary. Every 6-year-old loves dessert and this would be an extra special way to celebrate. There are dessert parties at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

I hope these idea helps you get started on planning the most magical trip to Walt Disney World ever. He's got a lot of responsibility on his shoulder of being the big brother to a little princess and I can't think of a better way to celebrate his new role.

    Wishing you a pixie-dusted day!
