My 2 sons and I are going on our first Disney vacation for their birthdays. They will be 8 and 7 at the time of travel. What are the best ways to getting a great travel agent to help me?

Hi, Jessica!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you and your Mouseketeers are planning your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  Be sure to do some resEARch on the Walt Disney World website and use these Disney vacation planning tools to help you and your boys decide on your list of must-dos.

The first thing you will want to do is think about which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you would like to call your home away from home.  You will love all of the benefits of staying right in the middle of the magic.  Once you know where you will be staying, start to consider your dining options.  Dining reservations are recommended and can be made 180 days in advance.  As you get closer to your trip, you will want to make your FastPass+ selections.  FastPass+ selections can be made 60 days prior to your arrival if you are a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guest, or 30 days in advance if you are staying elsewhere.  Be sure to create a My Disney Experience account and download the My Disney Experience mobile app to help you manage all of your plans.

Since you will be celebrating your sons' birthdays, check out the Enchanting Extras Collection for some suggestions on how to add a little extra magic to this special vacation.  Perhaps you would like to arrange to have a birthday cake delivered to a restaurant where you will be dining.  Did you know that you can even arrange for a special in-room celebration through Disney Floral & Gifts?  Be sure to ask a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or any Guest Relations location for complimentary "Happy Birthday" and "First Visit" buttons.  You never know what kind of pixie dust will come your way when you wear those buttons.  I would also recommend purchasing Memory Maker to help you relive all of your magical memories for yEARS to come.

If you are planning to look for a travel agent to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, a quick Google search for "Disney authorized travel planners" should be just the thing-a-mabob that does the job.  Feel free to also visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if you would like any additional vacation planning advice.  We love helping make Disney dreams come true!

    See ya real soon!
