    Cheri from WA Asked

My son-in-law is purchasing tickets for our family for Disneyland. If one of us is arriving a day later, will he need to meet them at the gate to activate the ticket or do we all have to arrive the same day?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cheri. I hope you're having a splendid day.

Is your son-in-law in the military and purchased specially discounted tickets for the family? If so, he (or his spouse) will need to activate the tickets in person. If he bought regular tickets online, he should have received a confirmation email with electronic tickets (Disney eTickets) in PDF format as attachment. If you have different arrival times within your family, your son-in-law can distribute the Disney eTickets via email so that the Guest(s) who will arrive later will have the Disney eTicket in hand already. With the Disney eTicket, you can print it out or download to your smartphone. The Disney Cast Member at the gate will scan the barcode and provide you with a physical ticket. You'll be able to use that ticket to obtain FASTPASS throughout the parks.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Cheri. I wish you and your family a magical vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
