Hi, my son and I will be visiting Disney 10/30-11/3 this year and I am wondering if the Not So Scary Halloween Party would be appropriate for a 2 1/2 yr. old.

Hi, Danielle!  I think Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is perfect for a 2 and a half year old!  When my girls were this age, and even now that they are older, we spend the day taking it easy, swimming, and having a nice afternoon nap.  That allows everyone to feel rested well into the night for the party.

There isn't anything scary at the party.  The parade is adorable, the fireworks spectacular, and everyone, from the smallest to the tallest, can enjoy trick or treating.

You will find most of the children dress up in their costumes, as well as a percentage of adults.  We've been going many years, and no one that we have encountered has been dressed as anything frightening.  As you might expect, a lot of people do some sort of Disney theme, but even those that don't dress in Disney costumes seem to get the "not so scary" part.

I hope if you go to the event you truly enjoy the evening!  A nap is going to be important, as the party runs until midnight.  I know my girls are way too excited to sleep, so you don't want to plan to hit the park with early morning extra magic hours the day after!
