My son is two so we did not purchase a ticket for him. Would we need to purchase a magic band for him?

    Hi Jessica!

Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are going to love exploring Walt Disney World Resort with your little guy! There is so much for preschoolers to enjoy in all of the theme parks. We brought both of our boys to visit Mickey and friends when they were 2 years old and they were incredible vacations. Be sure to consider adding Memory Maker to your trip so you can capture and save all of the memories you make together during your vacation.

Little Guests who are under 3 years old are special Guests of Mickey Mouse and receive complimentary admission to Walt Disney World Resort. So you are correct that your little guy does not need admission tickets. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, all of the Guests on your reservation will receive complimentary MagicBands with your reservation, including your little guy. Otherwise, you always have the option of purchasing a MagicBand for your son, but it is definitely not required for his trip as he will not need one for tickets or to use your FastPass+ reservations with you.

In my experience with my sons, they have loved being one of the "big kids" and wearing their MagicBands just like everyone else in our family. So we treated their MagicBands like their first souvenEAR of our vacation so they could wear their MagicBands with everyone else. However, that is completely optional and it is totally your choice to purchase one for him if you would like.

Let us know if you have any additional questions as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
