My son turns 5 in Disney world on December 15th. Please give advice on a Character Disney Dining experience that will appeal to young boys. Where can we take him? Needless to say he is not into princesses at all! We would like to make the day special.

Hi Melanie, Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate a Birthday!

I have 2 character dining suggestions for you. First, we love breakfast at the Crystal Palace. It's a great way to start a Magic Kingdom day. In fact, we consider this our "must-do" on every trip. Your son would see the lovable Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and the character interaction is great.

For dinner, our boys have always loved Chef Mickey's. While characters are always subject to change, he'd most likely see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald. You can order a personalized birthday cake for him in advance by calling Disney's Cake Hot Line at 407-827-2253. You can also just let your server know when you arrive that you would like a small cake instead (they have these available without advanced notice required). There is a "make-your-own ice-cream sundae" station which is fun. Cake, Ice-cream and Mickey Mouse...what a perfect way to celebrate your birthday!

I also wanted to recommend that you contact Disney's Dream Makers at 407-827-3505. They specialize in making Birthday's and other occasions extra special. You can choose one of their, "In Room Celebrations" HERE . They have some adorable options for little boys, like Buzz Lightyear, Cars, Nemo, Mickey and more. Imagine your sons surprise when he arrives back at his room to find a special gift waiting for him!

Hope this helps and that you have a Magical vacation,
