My son just turned 3. He won't make it all day at the Magic Kingdom. Would it be better to go from opening until mid afternoon or mid afternoon (after his nap) until close? I'm thinking about the heat and the crowds.

    Hi Hali!

That's actually a great question! I also have a son who's about to turn 3. I guess it depends on his general demeanor at a certain time of the day. My son is definitely more easy going in the morning, and then starts getting "antsy" (actually "Wild Man" is more appropriate-smile) in the afternoon. In my son's case, I would take him to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon vs. the morning so he could get that energy out.

But you make a good point regarding crowds (normally busier in the afternoon and evenings) and heat (if you're going in the summer or fall). If he goes to bed fairly early for the night, and if you're staying on a resort, there's normally a number of alternate activities you can involve him in before "night night" time.

If he's like mine, I'll chance the afternoon excursion :-)

    Have a great time!
