So, if my son just turned 3 in December and we are going to Disney in May of the following year, we have to purchase a child's ticket for him because he is 3? I was confused as to whether or not it is 3 and under is free or 3 and over you have to pay....

Hi, Tanya! Infants and toddlers under the age of three do not require a ticket.  However, children ages three to nine DO require a child's ticket to enter the parks.  So, you will need to get a ticket for your son. I hope this clears up any confusion.  Have a Magical vacation at Walt Disney World!
