My son and I are traveling on the Dream on April 14. We would love to see the inner workings of the ship like the engine room, bridge, etc. Im sure some places are off limits, but is there a tour available or someone we can talk to on board? Thanks!!

    Ahoy Jeffrey!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question!  Seeing the Disney Dream for the first time will be an unforgettable moment for you and your son!  This vessel has the classic look of an oceanliner of the past, and its state-of-art design and innovative technology is outstanding!  I'm sure you and your son will enjoy exploring every inch from stem to stern!
Due to security reasons, the inner workings of ship including the Bridge are off limits to Guests. But,  I do have a few suggestions on how to learn more about this spectacular ship both before and during your April sailing.  First, before you cast off for your Bahamian adventure, check out the Disney Cruise Line YouTube Channel and search "Building of the Disney Dream."  Your results should include many short videos of how this beauty was created.  On the day you embark the ship, check your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, for a Ship Tour that usually leaves from the Port Adventure Desk around 1:00 or 2:00.  This tour is led by a member of the cruise staff and is the perfect way to get to know your way around this,000 ton vessel! You will also have an opportunity to ask questions as well!  If you want to know more about the engine room and Bridge, I recommend stopping by Guest Services on Deck Three and asking if any crew members onboard are available to answer your questions.  My husband is also very curious of what goes on "behind the scenes" and has found that the crew members are always very friendly and happy to talk with Guests!
I hope my answer is helpful, Jeffrey!  Please let me know if I can assist you further with your cruise plans.
    Have a magical day!
