We want to take our son with special needs to see the holiday decorations. What week has the lowest attendance before Christmas? We were hoping for November. Also, what night is best (lowest attendance) for Mickey's holiday party?

    Hi Jennie,

I'm just double checked the Crowd Calendar at the independent website TouringPlans.com for you. The period between November 24 and December 5 is a very low crowd time. No day during that period gets above a level 5 (on a scale of 1 to 10) and most days are at a level 2 or 3. You really can't do much better than that.

Normally this low crowd time extends several more days. However, this year the official grand opening of the new Fantasyland will take place on December 6. My guess is that the Magic Kingdom will be packed after this, even if the other parks don't become crowded until a week or so later.

Disney does not provide crowd levels for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but I can tell you that weekday parties always have lighter attendance than weekend parties.

We'd love for you to have a magical Disney vacation. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
