My son has a spcd (social pragmatic comm disorder), and has issues with a lot of food textures. My ? is do they offer special foods for those who are extremely picky? We are going to WDW in June and am not sure what he can eat as he doesn't like much.

    Hello, Melinda!

Traveling with a Mouseketeer who has food aversions can be a challenge. In my experience, Walt Disney World Resort strives to help Guests have the most magical experience, especially when it come to meals. I suggest contacting the Special Dietary Requests team (at least 14 days before your visit) to discuss your son's particular food and texture preferences. This team will be able to offer advice and make suggestions that will help you plan your meals. You can email them at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.

Ordering from a grocery delivery service might be a good way to have a few of your son's favorite foods with you. I often use a grocery delivery service like GardenGrocer.com or WeGoShop.com so that we have staples like water, mac & cheese cups, breakfast bars, yogurt, fruit snacks and fresh fruit available in our Disney Resort hotel room. Please note that restaurants will not be able to store, cook or reheat your food. However, Baby Care Centers are available in all theme parks and have a small kitchen area where you can heat up a meal or take a little break if needed.

I hope this helps with your planning. Please visit us again should you have additional questions about your upcoming visit.

    Happy Planning!
