    Jennifer from NJ Asked

My 3 y/o son has a peanut allergy. Our first visit will be during Halloween and we're planning on going to the Halloween party but are worried about him trick-or-treating. Can someone tell me what types of things they hand out? We don't want him left out

Hi, Jennifer!  The candy at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party tends to change from year to year, but there is always a very well rounded selection of items, so I hope there is something your Halloween prince can enjoy!

In years past, we have had an assortment of hard candies, Smarties, Twizzlers, Dots, chocolates that included M&Ms, Snickers bars, Nestle Crunch bars, and Hershey Kisses.  You may also see things like lollipops and Laffy Taffy type things.

One good thing not only for people concerned about allergies, but guests who are diabetic or looking for healthy alternatives, is that at each Trick or Treat station, you will find a barrel that contains nothing but raisins.  To some kids, this may not seem like much of a treat, but as a diabetic, I always loved having the sweet snack; and I have a five year old who one year thought raisins were the most awesome food ever created.  She was in her glory to have a trick or treat bag filled with nothing but raisins!

I hope you have a wonderful time at the party!
