My son is 22 months old. On the rides that he's able to ride can he sit in mine or his fathers lap? Also my husband is a big guy, will he be able to ride with us(family of 4 total)?

    Hi Kristina,

The answer to your question will vary based on the attraction. In most rides that go up in the air (Dumbo, Aladdin's Magic Carpets), the cast member will ask you to place your son next to you on the seat. In most rides that are slow moving (Small World) or stick to the ground (Winnie the Pooh) you'll be allowed to keep him on your lap.

There are no weight restrictions on any rides in the parks. (There are a few out-of-park activities such as parasailing and horseback riding which do have weigh maximums.) If your husband can fit in the attraction, he'll be able to participate. So, for example, assuming that all four of you fit in something like the Magic Carpets, then you'll all be able to ride. Many of attractions suitable for young kids have flexible bench-style seating. Small World is an example of this.

I'm going to point you to a an article on the independent website TouringPlans.com which describes the seating for many of the attractions. This will give you a better sense of what to expect. http://blog.touringplans.com/2011/05/23/avoiding-the-odd-man-out-at-walt-disney-world-2/

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
