My son is in the military. Bought passes (paper) at his base. Can those be scanned into app prior to arrival, or do we have to bring actually papers to Disneyland, or how does that all work, etc? We're excited to come the first week in Oct

    Greetings, Greg!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question. Also, I'd love to extend a thanks to your son for his military service!

I'm so delighted your family is able to utilize the specially priced Park Hopper tickets for U.S. military service members. These tickets have been such a blessing for my family, and we are so thankful for Disney's commitment to members of the military. Remember that when you use these tickets, your son must be present with valid military ID when you enter the parks together on the first day of the ticket. You will just need to each bring your paper tickets from the military base, and the Cast Member at the park entrance will exchange these papers with actual park tickets. At this point, I then link our tickets to our Disneyland mobile app after entering the gates. Make sure you already have the Disneyland app downloaded on your device with an account. You can then select "Tickets and Passes" from the main menu of the app to link your family members' tickets to your device. Once linked to the app, you can then use the app ticket to enter the parks versus showing your paper ticket, though I still recommend having your paper tickets on you just in case.

Once you link your tickets to the Disneyland app, you can select "Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass" to make digital Disney FASTPASSES right from your mobile device. This is such a great way to really maximize your days and ride as many attractions as possible. We couldn't believe how much more we were able to explore both parks when using this feature.

I hope your trip is practically perfect in every way!
