Our son is 7 and meets the height requirement for all of the rides, but he does not like to ride roller coasters. Can my husband and I still use rider swap even though my son is tall enough to go on the rides?

Hello Steve!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My daughter meets the height requirements for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train but dug her fingernails into my wife's arm so deeply during her last ride that we do not think she will ever get back on the ride again.

The Rider Switch Service is for Guests who do not meet the height requirement or do not want to ride a particular attraction.  It does not matter whether your son goes on the ride, what does matter is that your entire party check-in with a Cast Member at the beginning of the queue.  They will inform you of the policy, waiting areas and provide you with a Rider Switch Pass.  Once the first party(or person) has enjoyed the attraction, the other may use the Rider Switch Pass to bypass the regular standby line.

The Rider Switch Pass basically acts as an instant FastPass+ selection where the second party is granted access to the FastPass+ queue since the first party had already waited for standby.  In your case, it would mean that your son would wait for both Adults to ride, but the time he would have to wait is greatly reduced.

While making your regular FastPass+ selections using your My Disney Experience Account, be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations, customize your MagicBands and Check-in online up to 60 days in advance.

    Happy Riding!
