Kaltxi, Guadalupe, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I just know you and your family will adore Disney’s Animal Kingdom and its 12-acre expansion with the alien planet of Pandora. Listen carefully within the lush mountain Valley of Mo’ara, and you’ll hear all sorts of animals calling to one another. Then taste the tropical sweetness of the Pongu Lumpia at the Pongu Pongu drink stand.
I had the pleasure of riding
Avatar: Flight of Passage many times during it’s Grand Opening, quizzing Cast Members about guest variables, accessibility, and more. The jet-ski like ride vehicle seats 1 guest, and involves a back-rest restraint and calf restraints. When I wear the 3-D Avatar enabling glasses, they hold nicely to my head, so you don’t need to fuss with them; Disney is continuously working on the best model glasses to fit their guests! A guest can easily ride with one hand on the bike handlebars, though I admittedly (and easily) have lifted both hands up to really feel the banshee flying beneath me! The chest restraints are nicely snug to allow you to enjoy the ride and not fall off your Ikran! You have any more hesitations about the Flight of Passage Rider Seat, you can visit the example seat outside the queue or search for "Flight of Passage Rider Seat" videos on the web.
I’m sure your son-in-law will enjoy the ride as much as you, and won’t have any issues with the experience. Be sure to make your
FastPass+ reservations 60 days before your Walt Disney World Resort check-in day by logging on to My Disney Experience, making your selections at 7am EST. They go quickly, so man your computer armed with your morning coffee and snap your choices up! If you have any other questions about your trip, please don’t hesitate to ask. ~ Lindsey P.
