Can my son go to any of the safari extended guides or tours? He's 6 it'll be hos birthday and he's a HUGE animal lover. Also can we not make reservations for the Jedi training? Again, huge Star Wars fans. He screamed when he saw the pics!

    Hi Trinity,

Making sure your son has a Happy Birthday at Walt Disney World is important.

At the moment your son is to young for some of the animal encounter tours that reservations are needed for and cost extra; Wild Africa Trek Guests need to be at least 8-years old, Wild by Design is 14-years old and Backstage Safari is 16-years old. However, if you are staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Guests there are able to make reservations for the Night Safari and Sunrise Safari by calling (407)938-4755 and is open to all ages.

But no worries, if it is animals he loves then celebrate his big day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Visit Guest Relations when you arrive so he receives his "It's My Birthday" button, he will be greeted with special "Happy Birthdays" from Cast Members all day long. And if it's animal encounters he wants then consider the following attractions at Disney Animal Kingdom:

    Kilimanjaro Safaris
    Discovery Island Trails
    Habitat Habitat!
    Affection Section
    Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
    Maharajah Jungle Trek

I have a feeling he will have a birthday to remember and many magical and memorable memories will be made.

Jedi Training Academy is held at Disney's Hollywood Studios and has limited capacity and is on a first come first serve basis. On the day your son plans to signup, I recommend arriving at the park 20-30 minutes before it opens. When Cast Members officially begin letting Guests in head over to the queue located outside the ABC Sounds Studio, there are Cast Members to show you the way. Your son will need to be with you when signing up and a showtime will be assigned to him along with what time to report back and his adventure to becoming a Jedi will begin.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask.
