My son is more excited than anything else to ride the monorail, the "train in the sky". We will be taking bus shuttles to the parks while we are there, but I want to figure out a good way to take him on a ride of the monorail. Any Advice?

Hi, Deron! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A ride on the Monorail is an attraction in itself! You have a couple options on how to enjoy this 'public transport of the future'. From Magic Kingdom Park you are able to take the Resort Monorail. This makes stops at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can exit the Monorail at any of these resorts to look around, shop in the gift shops, or even grab a bite to eat. Or, you can simply ride the Monorail all the way around the loop until you arrive back at Magic Kingdom Park. You could also take the Resort Monorail from Magic Kingdom Park and get off at the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can then take the Epcot Monorail directly to Epcot. If you are at Epcot and would like to come to Magic Kingdom Park, simply take the Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the Express Monorail directly to Magic Kingdom Park.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Deron!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
