my son and dtr-in-law will be traveling with us July 4th celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary. Is there anything special that you could recommend?

    Hi Fran:

You'll find Disney World is a wonderful vacation for adults celebrating an anniversary.

Head for a night to take in the entertainment, shops, restaurants, and nightlife of the Boardwalk area and Downtown Disney. At the Boardwalk area, stop by ESPN Club or Jellyrolls. At Downtown Disney, try Raglan Road, and balloon ride with Characters in Flight, a very romantic experience with a breathtaking view of Disney World property. Try a walking tour of the countries of World Showcase in Epcot and try favorite adult drinks. Also look into the Richard Petty Driving Experience, where you can drive or ride shotgun in a NASCAR-style stock car at speeds up to 120mph.

As for an anniversary dinner, my favorites would be California Grill atop the Contemporary Resort featuring delicious California Fusion cooking and spectacular views of Magic Kingdom; Le Cellier, a tasty steakhouse at Epcot's Canada Pavilion; and Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge that serves dishes influenced by African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisines.

There are also spa treatments to enjoy.  I also recommend dropping by Guest Relations at any of the Parks to pick up Anniversary buttons to wear.

Dont forget about rides and attractions that adults enjoy. Here are some suggestions:

    • Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
    • Epcot: Test Track, Mission Space
    • Hollywood Studios: Toy Story Mania (kids or no kids, this is a must-do), Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
    • Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Dinosaur.
For accommodations, I would look into the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, or Port Orleans French Quarter.

    Enjoy your vacation.
