    Tina from MD Asked

Can our son use his Disney Cruise Magic Band at Magic Kingdom? We are not on a Disney resort.

    Hi Tina,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You have already experienced the magic of Disney at sea and with a visit to Walt Disney World in your future, you must be excited!

I'm glad you asked this question. While the Disney Cruise Line Youth Activities wristband looks just like a MagicBand, the two systems are not tied together. Your son can certainly wear it if he wants to, but it won't activate anything in the parks.

You do have the option to purchase MagicBands in the parks or via the Shop Disney Parks mobile app and you can use them for park entry (with admission), Disney PhotoPass photographers and to check in to FastPass+ entrances even though you aren't staying in a Disney Resort Hotel.

I hope you have a fun-filled vacation with your family, Tina. Thanks for visiting!
