My son has CP and I want the very best experiance for him seeing how this is our very first time going, we would like to do somethings that most people arnt doing, like water taxi. Any Ideas? we need help!!

Maryann, I also have a son w/ CP & have found WDW an awesome place to travel w/ kids w/ special needs. I too like to find things that offer a little more elbow room. Special experiences that limit the # of guests at one time offer more space. I luv the Fireworks Dessert Party at MK - yummy desserts & an incredible view of the fireworks w/o the crowds. The Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage is big fun for the whole family! The boats are handicapped accessible- just make sure you mention it when booking. Strolling around the Boardwalk is a great way to relax. Watching the geyser erupt at Wilderness Lodge is very peaceful. The Behind the Seeds Tour in the Land at Epcot is fun & not crowded.

Visit Guest Relations & request a Guest Assistance Card for your son which will alert CMs at each attraction he requires special assistance. The GAC will allow him & up to 5 other members of your party access to alternate queues where available. If your son uses a stroller as a w/c, also request a band to go on the stroller & a stamp on the GAC indicating that so he will be able to use it at attractions - otherwise you will be required to park it in the designated stroller parking areas.

WDW is a great place for people w/ limited mobility to visit. There is a section on the WDW website devoted to Guests with Limited Mobility.  Under that section is a list of attractions at each of the parks that allow Guests to remain in their w/c & which require Guests to transfer from w/c or ECVs & be ambulatory to board. There are some attractions where wait times may be longer b/c of special ride vehicles for Guests confined to w/c.

I have other tips to share but I'm out of space for this answer. Visit me again - I'm happy to help make your trip as stress free as possible.
