My son is just about 44" (so close, yet so far). Is there a place we can go in each park to have him measured to know what rides he can take advantage of and what ones we need to avoid. We want to avoid dissapointment before we even enter the line.

    Hi Mary!!

I totally relate with your concern here!!  Our son just recently hit 40 inches and we were so concerned he wouldn't measure up at attractions like Soarin', Test Track, and Splash Mountain.

Unfortunately, there is not a central location where you can go get measured at each park.  Your son would have to get measured at the actual attraction.  The main rationale for this is so the cast members know exactly at each attraction if your child is tall enough.  I totally understand that this could possibly set your son up for disappointment.

One thing we did at home was make a "t-bar" like they have at Walt Disney World for the height indicators.  We practiced our son standing underneath it and making sure he could hit the bar with his head.  One trick we used is to have him stretch as far as he could and to take a deep breath when he stood underneath it.  This helped him stand up straight.  He was actually told to do this by a cast member and it helped him hit the bar each time.

I hope you have a magical day!!
