Hi there, Efstathia!
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question. I’m sorry to hear that your son broke his wrist, but I’m confident you can still have his birthday celebration at the Happiest Place on Earth if he feels up to it!
Assuming he is in a cast or a splint to protect his wrist as it heals, please be sure to check in with your son's doctor to ensure he has medical clearance to visit the theme parks and experience attractions. The resort doesn’t have restrictions related to minor injuries, but all Guests must be able to enter ride vehicles and close any required safety restraints before riding. If he has been instructed to avoid getting his cast wet, he might have to skip attractions such as Grizzly River Run in Disney California Adventure Park and Splash Mountain in Disneyland Park. If you have any specific questions about managing your son's injury while riding attractions, please feel free to reach out to a Cast Member in the parks. To minimize your wait times, plan to utilize Disney FASTPASS when available. You’ll spend less time in line and more time enjoying the parks with your son!
Also, be sure to pick up a complimentary celebration button for your birthday boy at City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park in honor of his special day. It can be customized with a name so he’ll receive personalized birthday wishes from Cast Members! If you have any table-service meals planned, let your server know you’re
celebrating a birthday because you may receive some extra magic during your dining experience.
I hope this answers your question, Efstathia, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation with your son! Please visit again with more questions as you continue to prepare for your adventure.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
